We want everyone to have fun, stay safe, and be kind. To make sure the chat is a great place for all tamariki, we have some rules:

1. Be kind and respectful

• Use friendly language only—no bullying, teasing, or mean comments.

• Respect other opinions and feelings.

• No name-calling or threats.

2. Keep your personal information private

• Don’t share your full name, address, phone number, school name, or any other personal information.

• Never ask others for their personal information.

3. No inappropriate content

• Don’t post anything rude, scary, or inappropriate (this includes pictures, links, or messages).

• No swearing, violent content, or adult topics.

4. Stay on topic

• Chat about What Now; our games and content, or topics related to our community.

• Avoid spam, advertising, or sharing unrelated links.

• Be mindful of blocking up the chat for others.

5. Follow the moderators’ instructions

• The What Now chat page is moderated by the What Now team.

• Moderators are here to help keep everyone safe and happy.

• If your chat isn’t made public, check that it doesn’t breach our guidelines and try re-wording it.

6. Reporting Problems

• If you see someone breaking the rules, tell us via email. Note: Is this for parents or for tamariki?

• Don't try to handle rule-breaking yourself.

7. Consequences

• Breaking the rules may result in a warning, temporary chat restriction, or being blocked.

• Serious violations can result in permanent removal from the House of Funge.
